My Experiences.

With my passion for Conservation in February 2018 I went to Tenerife on a two-week volunteering trip. Whilst there I collected data on Dolphins and Whales to help with conservation. I gained so much experience by travelling alone and meeting new people for the first time. I spent days on the local boats collecting data of the marine life that I saw and took pictures of the species so that we could identify and record them. Whilst I was on the boats I helped the boat crew provide food and drinks for the tourists to help them have an enjoyable time. There were days when we would take survey data from the cliffs and would do community work on the beaches like litter picking.

I have been asked to be the photographer many times for a local sporting event. A representative of a local running group has asked me number of times to take pictures at running races for their club.

Also horse riding shows have asked me come and photograph them showing their horse, which has then lead to enquiring horse portraits.

Whilst studying Photography at A-Level, I achieved an A grade and my work was chosen to represent the college at ‘Bolton University Art Exhibition’ which was an honour for myself and family. My work is displayed in the class room, corridor and is used on open evenings as well. I then went on a won ‘Best in Bolton photography’ is 2018.

My recent Photography work is currently being displayed at 'Gosling Sike' in Carlisle for the Second year Wildlife Media students Exhibition.

As I was unable to completing my year two expedition, going to Wales filming the conservation of seals due to the recent pandemic of Covid19, I had to re think my expedition. As I am currently in quarantine in the UK, limited to the amount of outdoor exercise I have daily, I decided to take for seven days I would go out in search for Birds of prey in my local area. in 2018 there was a massive fire that destroyed 7 square miles of moorland, lasting 41 days. I wanted to see if there was a resurgence of number in the Kestrels and Buzzards that many have had a drop in number as their habitation was once destroyed. Seeing many buzzards and little amount of kestrels, I also saw a pairing of peregrine falcons. Also due current pandemic and being little number of cars on the road, I felt as though there was a percentage increase of sightings of wildlife.

My university experiences from photography to filming are displayed in the PORTRAITS page on my website. i have gain experience working with new people in a different environments using new equipment.
